Colección Estudios Americanos Como parte de la celebración del 60 aniversario de la Biblioteca
Benjamín Franklin en el año 2002, y con el propósito de apoyar el mutuo entendimiento entre
México y los Estados Unidos a través de
sus bibliotecas, se organizó un concurso para otorgar cinco colecciones de libros sobre Estudios Americanos a las
bibliotecas mexicanas que presentaran las mejores propuestas de uso, promoción y difusión. La Biblioteca Franklin y las instituciones ganadoras colaboran en proyectos conjuntos para lograr los objetivos planteados en cada una de sus propuestas de difusión de las colecciones, que constan de 49 títulos y más de 100 volúmenes entre los que destacan: Encyclopedia Americana, Ecyclopedia of American Studies, Encyclopedia of the American Constitution, Thomas Register of American Manufacturers y United States Government Manual.
