Special Events during February “Prosperity Month”

Statement by Ambassador Antonio O. Garza

Mexico City, February 6, 2008 - “Prosperity is more than financial stability, good fortune or wealth. It is creating opportunities for citizens, working for a secure environment, providing full employment, and assisting those only marginally involved in the economic life of their country to participate fully. Both our nations share these goals. The prosperity of Mexico and the United States is linked through our people, our commerce, and our shared values. We must strive for prosperity together.

“February is ‘Prosperity Month’ and during this period the U.S. Embassy will be involved in a variety of activities to meet these goals on both sides of the border.”
